Write
Your Own
Bars

Writing my wrongs into songs. I'm turning my own scars into bars! My words need heard. #word

Real talk: I didn't know how to write songs. Not a clue. I sat down to write a book — and the second I started, it poured out in rhymes. So I let it. Three days. Fourteen hours each day. Pen moving, heart wide open. And I unleashed a hidden genius I didn't know was in me.

If it was in me, it's in you too. Let's find your first bar.

5 Prompts: Scar → First Bar

Grab a pen. Set a timer for five minutes. Don't fix it, don't judge it — just get it out. Messy is perfect. Rhymes optional, truth required.

1. Name the thing that held you down.
2. Finish this line: “I’m not walking back into…”
3. Write what you’d tell the old you.
4. Pick one word that hurts — and find three words that rhyme with it.
5. Write the line you want to read a year from now.

1. Write it out

Use the prompts. Fill the page. Your rough lines are the raw gold.

2. Shape it

Group lines into a verse and a chorus. Label them with [Verse] and [Chorus] tags. The chorus is the line you want stuck in your head.

3. Paste into Suno

Drop your lyrics in and pick a genre. Genres hit SO different — try gospel, hip-hop, country, rock. Same words, whole new feeling.

4. Listen & pick

Play every version. Pick your favorite. That's YOUR song. Your scars, your bars.
